We feel this will avoid any spelling or record errors. Attached are instructions for using the system. 2013 BUCKEYE LOCAL PANTHER CLASSIC GENERAL INFORMATION Seeding Committee: Seeding is handled by the criteria listed below. The Committee will meet on January 30, 2013 at Buckeye Local High School. THERE IS NO SEEDING MEETING. All that we ask is that you have your seeding info entered into the website promptly. Tournament Setup: This tournament is a combined pool /bracket style tournament. We will use 5 mats located in two gyms. We use 4 Pools of 4 Wrestlers for 1st 3 Rounds. There may be Wrestle - in matches if there more than 16 Varsity wrestlers. The top wrestler in each pool will wrestle in a 4- Wrestler Bracket for 1st – 4th Places, (2nd Place wrestlers in pool in another Bracket for 5th – 8th Places, etc., all the way to 16th place). This year we will assign an individual pool to a mat for each of the three rounds (example Weight: 103 Pool A will wrestle pool on Mat 1). This will cut down on wrestler/coach confusion and time. We plan to have a minimum of two breaks. One to draw the brackets. One to setup for the Finals. We may take more if the 45- minute rule is needed. Please be patient if there are more breaks, we want to make sure everything is correct and all rules are followed. Weigh In Procedure: Scales are open to check weight from 6:30 am until 6:59 am. If you arrive after weigh ins start you will not be able to enter the weigh in room to check weight. Weigh Ins start promptly at 7:00 am on two scales. NFHS Team Weigh In Procedure will be followed. Weigh Ins are administered by the Lead Official and Assistant. All decisions are final. No wrestler will “bumped” up if they fail to make weight. Awards: Top 4 individuals. Team Champion and Runner-up. Outstanding Wrestler. Extras: We will try to place as many extras as possible into the tournament. We will let you know in advance who makes into the tournament by email, fax, and websites (www.ovaecwrestling.com and www.baumspage.com/wrestling) Concession Stand: Our parents club will provide a full concession stand opening at 6:30 am for breakfast and is open all day. In accordance with our school rules we request that no crock-pots, hot plates, and/or roasters be brought into the premises. We have 4 available to use so we will break them up by 4 teams to each. Please help us police these areas. We wish to keep our school property in good shape. Vandalism is not permitted or tolerated. Coaches Room: There will be a full Coaches Room starting after Weigh Ins located in our wrestling room. We ask that only Coaches and our Tournament Staff use this room. Our parents and sponsors work hard to have this room for us and we want to keep all coaches well feed and happy. Entry Instructions - Wrestling 1. Entries must be submitted using the Online Entry Form at www.baumspage.com! a. If you are not a "computer user" find an assistant, student, parent, or friend who is! b. If someone else enters your data, please review the printed data and confirm the accuracy! c. The system is secure year! Only you, the webmaster, and tournament officials will see your data! 2. You will need an account to submit data using Baum’s Page Online Entry System! a. If you already have an account, login and use My Sports | Select Teams to claim your school and team. i. If you forgot your Password, click the Forget your password link on the Login page to request.a new one. ii. Multiple sports, levels, and genders can all be included on one account! b. If you are a "first time" user, please create your account early! *See #2 below! i. If there is a problem creating an account, you may need to temporarily disable a "firewall", change the Internet security setting in your web browser, or try a different computer! ii. If your school is not included in the list of schools or someone else is already "associated" with your school and team, click the Help link and submit a request. Allow 24 hours for a response! 3. The actual data entry is a multi-step process: 0. Use My Sports | Select Teams to claim your school and team.teams. 1. Use My Sports | Wrestling | Modify Athletes to enter your athlete's names and grades into the database. § You may enter them one at time or paste your complete roster from an Excel file. § To paste from Excel use three fields - first name, last name, and grade. 2. Use My Sports | Wrestling | Submit Rosters to enter wrestlers and their seed information into weight classes. 3. Click Submit Rosters to submit your tournament entry form. 4. Click Get Printable Roster to print a copy for your records. 4. Data will be stored so it may be edited and submitted for other tournaments that use Baum’s Page for entries! To enter roster online: 1. Go to www.baumspage.com, follow links to Wrestling, the specific tournament, and the Online Entry Form. a. Or click Online Entry or Login at the top lof Baum's Page. b. Make sure entries are submitted before the posted entry deadline! 2. If you do not have an account, click on Apply. a. Enter the Account Holder’s Name, an active E-mail Address, and a Password. i. Use either the coach’s e-mail address or the coach’s designee! ii. If you do not have an e-mail account, use the e-mail address of a friend or someone who will give you messages that are sent to the e-mail address. iii. Enter E-mail address and Password twice! *Write them down and use for all future logins b. Enter your Work, Home, and Cell phones. *If unlisted, enter unlisted or none. c. Click Submit Application 3. If you have an account, click on Login and enter your UserID and Password! a. Use My Sports | Select Teams to claim your school and team. i. If you coach both HS and MS, add each level separately. ii. If Association already exists for a user, click the Contact Us link and submit a request. b. Use My Sports | Wrestling | {select your team} | Modify Athletes to enter your roster! *Return at your convenience to edit it. i. Type all names in upper and lower case. *Please check all entries carefully! c. Use My Sports | Wrestling | {select your team} | Submit Rosters to submit entries for the tournament.. i. Select the correct tournament from the Event "drop-down" menu. a. For each weight class entered, click on Select a Wrestle... and select the athletes from the drop-down list. b. If appropriate, enter seeding information as requested. Leave blank if not up for a seed! c. Click Submit Roster, then click Get Printable Roster to print a copy for your records. What you see is what will be processed! ii. If there are errors or an athlete is missing, use Modify Athletes to make the correction and use Submit Rosters to submit entries again. 4. Event Rosters for a meet can only be submitted or corrected while the "Entry Window" is open! a. Submit Event Rosters early and return to make changes anytime before the window closes. i. The window closes automatically precisely at the time and date listed! ii. Entries cannot be edited or submitted online after the window closes!
