I predicted this weight class pretty well, except for the weight change of Richey. Jared Hoppel Beaver Local was on top of this weight class from the beginning to end! That is hard to do in the sport of wrestling with so many factors involved. Dustin Richey John Marshall wrestled a great tournament with decisive wins until the finals. Richey did not stop his winning style at the OVAC's, he continued with a State Title in 2003. He will be a wrestlers to watch in the middle weights. David Durbin Brooke and Brandon Bruce Bellaire both wrestled to there potential in the tournament and will be missed by there teams next year. I expect to see many more battles between Thad Croiser Steubenville and Todd Hunkler Barnesville in the future, Both wrestlers work very hard in the wrestling room and it shows on the mat. Tony Warner Meadowbrook has now tasted the podium and should be looking for more victories as a senior. A name to watch in the weight class is William Frollini, Shadyside a state qualifier who came on late in the season. He also has excellent work out partners in Jesse Irwin, and Luke Burkhardt.

Also in this weight class you had 7 State Qualifiers, and 2 of those were State Placers: Brandon Bruce, Bellaire; William Frollini, Shadyside; Jared Hoppel, Lisbon Beaver; Larry Wright, Weirton Madonna; Ian Whittington, Oak Glen; Alex Lee, John Marshall (Richey went 145 for States); David Durbin, Brooke.
