What a hard weightclass to predict I was shuffling wrestles all season, and there were many round robins between three wrestlers. The seniors did come to the top and the man was Lucas Michel Shenandoah. Holding off Haslam's head and arm for a 6-2 win in the finals. Lucas did not stop there, but also qualified for a the State Tournament as well. Wesley Haslam River may have faulted in the finals but did rebound with a trip to Columbus. Kevin Staub Wheeling Park finished third, but went on to capture the WV State Title at 275. Eric Diagosta East Liverpool wrestler a tremendous tournament and finished fourth and should be in the race next season as well. Maurice Hines Indian Creek also went on to become a Sate qualifier and will be hard to beat next season. Ralph Petrella Steubenville's lone placer was the next heavyweight to make it to Columbus. John Nicolozakes Cambridge is yet another excellent heavyweight. I can see John being a force next season. Andrew Corder Harrison Central should not be over looked either. Heavy weight next season will be a very competitive weightclass with many standout wrestlers shooting for one championship!

Welcome to OVAeC Wrestling!

(Ohio Valley Athletic ex Coach) The purpose of this web site is to promote O.V.A.C. wrestling and the individuals that make it all possible. I don't proclaim to know everything about the
O.V.A.C.'s or wrestling, but I have coached in the O.V.A.C.'s for the past 8 years so I do have some knowledge of the sport, coaches and the wrestlers(2002).
