Lets first talk about what did not happen. Willie Saxton Buckeye Local did not make weight, which happens in high school wrestling. Saxton did rebound nicely with a third place finish at the Ohio State Tournament. I got a chance to watch Saxton this summer in Florida. I believe Saxton is at another level then most other OVAC wrestlers. He will be one of if not the best wrestler next year in the OVAC's. Now with that a side, Abbie Rush Wheeling Park a great wrestler in his own right was the Champion! Not just the champion this year but it made him a three time champion looking for his fourth title next season! He did drop a weigh class (beating Green the 119 champion) at the State Tournament and finished third. Could we see him and Saxton next year? Brandon Miller Oak Glen was OVAC runner-up and also WV State runner-up. Corey Lemaster Caldwell and Logan Hartle John Marshal both ended their senior season with a trip to the state tournament. Bryan Skoff St. John showed his toughness as a freshman with fifth place finish. B. Skoff will play a big part in St. John's success next season. Zac Androsko St. Clairsville showed me his toughness and determination in Florida this summer and will continue to improve with the transfer of Schuller. Chase Tucker Martins Ferry well with a name like Tucker and a purple singlet you know good thing will come from this young wrestler. Torey Prickett Monroe Central show a continues improvement as the season went along. A trip to the State Tournament proved just how much. Robbie Martin Indian Creek showed us just how tough this weight class was in 05. He also qualified for the Ohio State Tournament.

I don't proclaim to know everything about the O.V.A.C.'s or wrestling, but I have coached in the O.V.A.C.'s for the past 8 years so I do have some knowledge of the sport, coaches and the wrestlers(2002).
