My Rankings (Before OVAC)
OVAC Seeds
OVAC Place finishers 2004 Seed in ( )
Braden Shaw Brooke a tough, hardnosed wrestler, was my number 1 choice all year at this weight class. He pinned his way to the finals of the OVAC Tournament, where he squeezed out a 1 point victory over Brown to capture his second OVAC Title. Shaw capped of a brilliant high school career with a second place finish at the State Tournament. Aaron Brown Monroe Central mentioned above gave Shaw a great finals match at the 2004 OVAC Tournament. He continued his aggressive style of wrestling to finish 3rd in the State Tournament. Shawn Dunn Beaver Local a fantastic soccer player, showed us he could also wrestle. Dunn went on to become a State Qualifier as a Junior. I expect great things from him this year in the OVAC Tournament. Matt Saxton Buckeye Local show me and everyone else that he should not be over looked. He wrestled a tremendous OVAC Tournament, it could have been his best tournament in his high school career! Ben Phillips Harrison Central finished a soiled high school career, improving each year. Brennon Chambers Oak Glen battled a shoulder injury all year and still put up great wrestling numbers. His hard work and persistence paid off with a State Title! Brandon Richey John Marshall opened a few eyes as a freshman, and should be a wrestler to watch. Also in this weight class you had 7 State Qualifiers, and 4 of those were State Placers: Shawn Dunn, Lisbon Beaver, (11), Jason Workman, Hannibal River, (12), Aaron Brown, Woodsfield Monroe Central, (12), Brennon Chambers, Oak Glen, 11, Jeff Pettit, Cameron, 10, Isaiah Richie, Tyler Consolidated, 10, Braden Shaw, Brooke, 12
