I had returning champion Mick Nicola St. John Central ranked first and returning finalist Jonathan McFarland Brooke ranked second all year. In the finals Sophomore Willie Saxton Buckeye Local showed that his off season wrestling proved to much for McFarland with a 6-4 win. McFarland 3-1 OT Semi Final win over Nicola may have taken to much out of him for the finals. Anyway you look at it the top three here are all top notch wrestlers!  All three wrestlers went on to qualify for the State Tournament. Shane Wright Oak Glen also a Semi Finalist his senior year, went on to prove the depth of this weight class by his second place State finish! Justin Seebach started the season slowly with only 7 matches before the OVAC Tournament, improved greatly with a 6th place finish at the state tournament. I would have like to seen Seebach have more match under his belt. He is one to watch next year! The final three placer are all quality wrestlers shown by Hughes Cameron 6th place finish at the state tournament.
